Project overview
Photographers and cinematographers are constantly having to evolve to provide new angles to get more interesting shots. Enabling tech has never been more in demand. This is why Syrp created a multi axis time-lapse device that is controlled by an app. We took on the task of creating their controller app from scratch. A big task, but we love a challenge.
Process
We approached this app development with an open mind. This was true blue sky design. Following the Syrp brand guidelines, we created several concepts and tested at a wireframe level before choosing the most robust design system. Once we had the foundational design system, we were able to add more functionality as the project progressed.

We developed the wheel design with simple dot markers to enable users to dial in the intended rotation of their time lapse intuitively.

This high end product required a high end user experience. Simple, intuitive and Uniquely Syrp.

Do it right, do it once.

There were several challenges overcome when designing the user experience for this bleeding edge product. With an iterative approach and close collaboration with the client, we were able to remove obstacles, creating a strong design system and beautiful experience that has stood the test of time.
